Summary of Services

The Janesville Transit System (JTS) offers regular bus service Monday through Saturday on six routes inside Janesville and the Beloit-Janesville Express that operates weekdays between the two cities.

All JTS buses are accessible to persons with disabilities, including those in wheelchairs or other mobility aids.

· JTS has installed bicycle racks on its buses for customers who want to bring their bike along on the bus with them. Visitors, please show a bike-on-bus certification card from your “home” transit system, or certifications are available any weekday by calling the JTS office.

· The Transfer Center, which is the hub of our system, is located at 123 South River Street. The office and maintenance facility is at 900 North Parker Drive.

· A dispatcher is present at the Transfer Center from 6:00 – 10:00 PM Monday-Friday. This person does sell JTS tokens and passes as well as dispensing route information, change, etc. Otherwise that facility is not staffed.

· JTS tokens and passes are available 7 days a week at the following supermarket service counters during normal store hours:

o Logli’s – Creston Park

o Sentry-East – East Milwaukee Street

o Pick and Save – Center Avenue

o Sentry-West – West Court & Crosby
