Art Infusion…along the Janesville Mile….enhancing art appreciation, art education and community spirit while showcasing downtown Janesville (the Janesville Mile) to residents and visitors alike.   This 3 day event will feature a unique blend of outdoor performance art and interactive street performances. Art Infusion will include music, dance, poetry, chalk art and more.  

 

FEATURED MASTER CHALK ARTIST

The event will also feature a live chalk art creation and chalk art class by well-known, award winning master chalk artist Lee Jones. Visit Lee Jones website to view more of her fabulous works of art. Chalk It Up

 

SIDEWALK CHALK ARTISTS NEEDED - ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME

• Sidewalk chalk artists 12 and younger participate by drawing on the sidewalk - FREE (registration required, no fee)
• **Sidewalk chalk artists, adults and youth 13 and older create your own sidewalk chalk art masterpiece for fun or while you take part in the chalk art competition (registration required, $10 fee for competition. Fee includes chalk art pastels, sponge and gloves)

PRIZES FOR CHALK ART COMPETITION

• $100 cash prize for 1st place in the adult (age 18+) and youth (ages 13-17) chalk art competition!
  
• Awards for 2nd place and runners up
• Award for best use of color

FREE CHALK ART CLASS WITH LEE JONES

**Master street painter/ chalk artist will hold a free sidewalk sidewalk chalk art workshop on Thursday, September 15, 5 to 7 PM at the Janesville Performing Arts Center. Open to the public. Space is limited, please register early to guarantee a spot. This class is sponsored by United Arts Alliance.

 

PRIZES FOR PERFORMANCE COMPETITION

• $50 cash prize and certificate for an overnight stay at Hampton Inn of Janesville for best in show
