If you are looking for places to take the family for sledding opportunities this winter there are several Janesville city parks to choose from. Those city parks with sledding hills include Palmer Park, Riverside Park, Lustig Park, Ardon Park (2201 Refset Drive) and the Northeast Regional Park, 4400 block of Huntington Avenue. A safety fence exists at Ardon Park to direct sledding activity, while the Northeast Regional Park has a new large sledding hill. Winter enthusiasts are asked to exercise caution when sledding by watching out for obstacles and others who are sledding. It is also important to keep warm while outdoors.
