Janesville Presents! Michael Kaeshammer, April 9th at JPAC

Get ready for an amazing night of New Orleans inspired Jazz. Janesville Presents! brings Canadian jazz pianist Michael Kaeshammer and his trio to the Janesville Performing Arts Center. This event is sponsored by American Family Insurance, M&I Bank and the Wisconsin Arts Board. Michael will be performing Friday, April 9th at 7:30 pm. Michael Kaeshammer is a triple threat being a jazz pianist, singer and song writer. With four recordings to his credit, this boogie-woogie prodigy has drawn comparisons to many of the accomplished male vocalists and pianists in jazz and contemporary music. He brings together a broad range of stylistically different pieces to his performance. His combination of the blues and New Orleans jazz will have you tapping your foot.

Michael began his music education with studying the classical piano before falling in love with the jazzy styles of pianist such as Albert Ammons and Pinetop Smith. After mastering the jazz and boogie-woogie styles he began playing in clubs and festivals throughout Germany. His range of study is what has given him his unique style and sound, which blends jazz, blues and contemporary pop to create this amazing musical fusion.
