Rockport Park has over 6 miles of trails color coded for easy navigation - click here to download a trail map, or click here to open an interactive GPS map. The Friends of Rockport Park provide grooming of the trails as volunteers are available. At Riverside Golf Course, a flat beginner’s trail is groomed by the golf course staff. Although Rockport Park and Riverside Golf Course offer the only groomed trails, cross-country skiing is allowed in any City park and greenbelt. Rock County Parks also offer cross country skiing options. Gibbs Lake (9103 W Gibbs Lake Rd, Janesville) and Carver-Roehl (4907 S Carvers Rock Rd, Clinton) are suitable for beginner and intermediate skiers, and Magnolia Bluff (4002 N Croak Rd, Evansville) is best for expert skiers.
