Your bus will tour MacFarlane Pheasants, Inc., who has sold well over ten million pheasants throughout the United States and in many foreign countries over the past 70 years. During this time they have also grown into one of the world’s largest private game bird farms.

Unique to Janesville, MacFarlane Pheasants, Inc. was established in 1929, they have made a lot of changes in the way pheasants are bred and raised. Still family owned and operated, and still following the principle on which the business was founded -- to consistently produce and market only the finest quality pheasant stock through selective breeding and careful management practices.

Group Information

The MacFarlane Pheasants Inc. farm tour is only available for motorcoach tour groups.

The tour is approximately one hour and consists of two parts: a 30-minute tour of the grounds from the motorcoach with a step-on guide, and a 30-minute visit at the specialty store.

Tours must be scheduled in advance, with a maximum of one tour per day.

Tours of the grounds require a $25 sanitation fee for the bus and $75 for the actual tour.

Tours of the gift shop and video only are free of charge.

Wheelchair accessible bathrooms are available.

Tours will be canceled in the event of bad weather, however the specialty shop would still remain open.

Directions

From Interstate 90 take Exit 177 (Hwy 11 West). Go West to Highway 51. Go North and Mac Farlane’s will be on your right.
