Tourism Partners Coalition
Mission-
Travelers to Rock County spent an estimated $253 million in 2003 making Rock County the 10th top county in the state. The Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (JACVB) holds quarterly Tourism Partners Coalition (TPC) meetings on the second Tuesday of January, March, July and October to allow Janesville residents and business owners to get involved in this growing industry.
Tourism Partners Coalition is open to anyone. Our agendas are focused on helping local businesses make the most of tourism opportunities in our community. Restaurants, retailers, attractions and gas stations won’t want to miss this opportunity to network & create partnership and packaging opportunities.
Typical items include: event planning and promotion, Special Event Fund application information, meeting and tournament assistance in addition to brochure distribution and general knowledge of the tourism industry and how it affects all kinds of businesses.
These meetings provide an opportunity for people affected by the tourism industry to network, voice their concerns and learn more about the JACVB and how it affects their business. If you are not able to attend the meeting because of the time but wish to be involved in TPC, please contact the JACVB.
The Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau’s mission is to promote Janesville as a prime visitor destination for leisure and business travel. This is accomplished by focusing on the three main areas of meetings and conferences, motorcoach and group tours and leisure travelers. The JACVB is funded by local hotel room tax and receives 37% of the room tax collected by the City of Janesville with the remainder going into the city’s general fund.
