It’s officially food truck season, let’s go on a tour! These area favorites can be found regularly at local events or parked around town.

A&B Acai
For a refreshing way to start your day, A&B Acai is a local food trailer that travels all over the area. Baylee has created a menu of signature bowls like the Fan Favorite (acai, granola, bananas, strawberries, peanut butter drizzle), Ocean Breeze (spirulina blue cream, granola, blueberries, coconut, honey drizzle), Chocolate Dream (cacao cream, granola, apples, chocolate chips, nutella drizzle), and more. Or build your own bowl with your favorite base, fruits, and toppings!

JD’s Lunchbox
JD’s Lunchbox first started out as a food cart regular at local events. John’s famous Chicago-style hot dogs, giant Italian beef sandwiches, and meatball subs quickly grew a fan following so he opened up a storefront location at the Blackhawk Shopping Center on Janesville’s southside. JD’s Lunchbox still participates in local events like the Janesville Farmers Market, Music at the Marv, and Milton Community Days Market.

Doña Concha Mexican Food
After opening their first food truck in Beloit, Doña Concha Mexican Food quickly became a stateline staple—later opening two more stationary food trucks in Janesville and Rockford. Janesville’s Doña Concha can always be found in the Menards parking lot. Menu highlights include to-die-for tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and tortas!

Stormy’s Grilled Cheese
Stormy’s Grilled Cheese had already earned its spot as a local food truck favorite when current owners Kasie and Becky took the reins from original owners Fran and Tina, who started it all 10 years ago. The name? A nod to their dogs—all named Stormy. Today, Kasie and Becky continue the tradition, serving up grilled cheese sandwiches that are quite literally their bread and butter, always best enjoyed with a cup of creamy tomato soup. And don’t forget to catch that cheese pull when you pick up your order—it’s all part of the experience.

Backyard Barbecue
Backyard Barbecue stands out not just for its authentic Texas-style smoked barbecue, but also for its homemade recipes and heartfelt cooking. After getting his start in the restaurant industry at McDonald’s, Lester’s passion for food and a love for sharing his family’s recipes inspired him to start his own food truck business in 2015. It’s now grown to catering services and a storefront along Milton Avenue! Don’t miss the ribs, BBQ sandwiches, mac + cheese bowls, and grandma’s banana pudding recipe.

FEASTival Street at the Janesville Farmers Market
Every Saturday from May through October, 8 AM to 1 PM, Town Square’s Festival Street transforms into a mini food truck park, lovingly known as FEASTival Street. It’s the perfect spot to grab breakfast, brunch, or lunch while shopping the market for locally grown and handmade goodies. Regular favorites include Mindoro Island Grill, Boba House, D&L Pastured Meats, La Kermés Authentic Mexican Cuisine, A&B Acai, and JD’s Lunchbox—so come hungry!
The listed food trucks and stands are just a handful of what you can find around town. Check out the food truck page on our website for more! Because of the always-changing nature of food trucks, let us know if you see a listing that needs updating or adding.
