In this time trial, 60 to 100 Para-athletes compete in the different categories/divisions, including two-wheel bicycle, tricycle, handcycle and tandem cyclist. The time trial event is one of the most challenging and exciting disciplines in the sport of cycling, and is an impressive display of speed, skill, and endurance.  Competitors race against the clock in a timed event and will set off at one-minute intervals, with the fastest time determining the winner.  Winners will be awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals. The race serves as a selection event for the 2023 UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships, which will take place in August in Glasgow, Scotland.

The Paralympic Games provide a platform for athletes with disabilities to showcase their incredible talents and inspire others around the world. The cycling time trial event is just one of many events at the Paralympics, where athletes compete in a variety of sports including athletics, swimming, wheelchair basketball, and many more.  Founded in 1894 and headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) serves as both the National Olympic Committee and National Paralympic Committee for the United States. The USOPC is focused on protecting, supporting and empowering America’s athletes, and is responsible for fielding U.S. teams for the Olympic, Paralympic, outh Olympic, Pan American and Parapan American Games, and serving as the steward of the
Olympic and Paralympic movements in the U.S.  This event is presented by the Town of Harmony and the Town of Johnstown, in partnership with the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Tour of America’s Dairyland Presented by Kwik Trip, and the Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau.
