A chilling hysteria swept Salem, Massachusetts in 1692 resulting in the prosecution and execution of those who allegedly practiced witchcraft. Listen as Tom Skinner uncovers the grim truths of the period with a focus on the causes, accusers, victims, and how it all finally came to an end. Presenter Tom Skinner is a direct descendent of Rebecca Nurse who was executed after being convicted of witchcraft. He is passionate about historic preservation and lives in an 1844 Greek Revival home in Janesville that he and his wife Susan lovingly restore. Presentations on Friday, October 18 at 12 PM and Thursday, October 24 at 6 PM.
