Rotary Botanical Gardens is an award winning, 20-acre non-profit botanic garden, home to many dramatic and themed gardens. Some have an international focus, such as the Japanese and English Cottage gardens, while others are less formally-structured, such as the children's garden, Hosta Hollow, the fern and moss garden, and other seasonal displays. Much of the garden is wheelchair and stroller accessible, with wide, level paths and many benches to sit and take in the surrounding beauty. In December, the Gardens presents the spectacular Holiday Light Show.
Returning in 2018 is the Giant Aquarium garden (open June - October), a storywalk featuring the book The Frightened Frog, a garden art exhibit of 30 decorated wooden frogs, and a beautiful white garden in the Reception Garden, with over 125,000 plants in this area alone. New this year is the A-Z Pollinator Garden in the Nancy Yahr Memorial Children's Garden, a Plants of the World garden with over 150 different plants in thirteen parallel beds with informative signs, and a New Guinea Impatiens Collection in the three demonstration beds. A new Wellness Garden, which includes a labyrinth, was just completed in July of 2018.
Groups are welcome and reservations are recommended. An electric cart may be reserved for guests with mobility issues.
