Rock River Heritage Park is located northwest of Janesville on the eastern banks of the Rock River. The parcel was originally created in 1946 to provide outdoor recreation, camping, and education for Boy Scouts in Southern Wisconsin. Since that time, the parcel has evolved and developed to now include trails, lodges and cabins, a man-made lake, and many other amenities. The park was purchased by Rock County in February of 2022 and many improvements have been made, with work continuing. Pets are allowed but they must be leashed at all times and you must clean up after them.
