This is one of a series of murals in downtown Janesville that are part of the "Heart of the City Outdoor Art Campaign" which began in 2009. Each mural represents a decade during Janesville's early years and focuses on the important industries of that time. Originally painted by Larry Schultz, this vinyl printed mural represents 1840-50 and features the power of the river.  The mural is located on the back (east) side of the Bliss Communications building and can be viewed from Parker Place or Milwaukee Street.
