In 2006, downtown Janesville showcased an outdoor public art exhibit featuring 39 kid-friendly versions of the classic '57 Chevy Bel Air, honoring Janesville's nearly 100 year automotive history. Although the pieces were auctioned off at the end of the summer and many have left Janesville (one even graces The House on the Rock), you can still see a few if you know where to look. Artist Wendy Rummelhoff painted this sweet ride, now on display at the Water Street entrance of Olde Towne Mall, next to Town Square.
