Hemlines and Heroes features evening, day, and wedding dresses, medical uniforms, and military uniforms from the Flapper Era through post-World War II (1920 – 1949). The dresses and uniforms, which are all drawn from the RCHS collections, will be displayed in the historic Lincoln-Tallman House and the RCHS museum. At the intersection of fashion, history, and service, Hemlines and Heroes showcases more than 60 items from the RCHS collection. From day dresses to evening gowns, from wedding dresses to military and medical uniforms, this exhibit encapsulates life in the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. Each item tells a story – whether of glamour, daily life, service, or sacrifice – of Rock County and its families. Open Thursday - Sunday from 11 AM - 4 PM, throughout March.
