Join Milton House Museum Executive Director Keighton Klos as she explores the life of one of America's most misunderstood First Ladies in the first fall Hops and History Event. Looking beyond the myths and controversies surrounding her life, this presentation explores Mary Lincoln as a complex woman of intelligence, compassion, ambition, and resilience. Was she merely a woman defined by tragedy, or a survivor whose strength and determination have too often been overshadowed by history? Discover the woman behind the legend and reconsider the legacy of a First Lady judged as harshly by history as she was by her contemporaries.
