Since its inception in 2011, Art Infusion has continued to evolve and bring positive attention to the community, its attractions and especially the downtown area. In addition to a sidewalk chalk art competition, free sidewalk chalk art instruction is held for Janesville students. In 2020, a painted wall mural component was added and continues to be a highlight of the event. 20 mural have been added during Art Infusion in the past five years, bringing the total murals downtown to more than 30.

Art Infusion 2025 will take place September 5 - 7, 2025. Click here for additional details about the 2025 event.

FEATURED MURAL ARTISTS

Chris Silva, South Bend, IN
Wall mural: Midwest Indoor Storage at 314 W Milwaukee St (north wall)
Chris Silva's creative pursuits are firmly rooted in Chicago's urban culture. Chris was an innovative figure in Chicago's early graffiti and skateboarding scenes and from that foundation proceeded to play a significant role in the development of what is now commonly referred to as 'street art' He splits his time between working on large scale commissions, producing gallery- oriented work, and leading community-based public art projects. Chris first visited Janesville for Art Infusion 2022 to create the Rock River Guardian, with the help of his friend, Erik, overlooking the shared patio of Genisa Wine Bar and Jack & Jenny's along the Rock River. Chris will be cohesively adding to a wall that currently features Window Seat by Matthew Mederer from Art Infusion 2024 and Phoebe's Dream by Valerie Saxer from Art Infusion 2023.
