This original play, part of a new program called Stories from Janesville, is about the subject of homelessness in Rock County. This program asks a local playwright to write a play based around the services of other nonprofits in the area. This year's author, Jim Lyke, used recent and past experiences and research to inspire his new play, There's No Place, a raw and honest look at homelessness. It cross-examines several stories based on individuals and available resources in the community, crafting a necessary vehicle for creating awareness about those who are often left tragically invisible. The play will be directed by Alex Burkart, a native of Janesville, who is now a professional acting teacher and playwright residing in Los Angeles.
