Why is 1871 the hinge of the American Victorian period? Because in many ways it's a swing year during which events will occur that will eventually thrust the world, the U.S., and little Lake Geneva, Wisconsin into a new era. This program will review the events that took place during this pivotal year. Presented by David Desimone, Director of Black Point Estate and Gardens, the Wisconsin Historical Society's historic house museum in Lake Geneva. Part of HPL's Senior Moments Series.
