JYBSA Night at the Park

The Beloit Sky Carp and Janesville Youth Baseball and Softball Association (JYBSA) are teaming up for this fun-filled community evening. The night begins with a pre-game player parade at 5:15 PM, followed by first pitch at 6:05 PM. A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Sam Loizzo Best Teammate Award, honoring one softball and one baseball player who best exemplify what it means to be a great teammate—on and off the field. Coaches nominate one player from each JYBSA team, and all nominees will lead the pre-game parade before winners are announced during the game. Sam Loizzo was a beloved Janesville educator and community leader who taught at Craig High School for over 30 years. He also dedicated years to volunteering and mentoring youth, while capturing countless moments at school events and youth sports through his photography. His legacy of kindness, leadership, and love for Janesville continues to inspire. Thanks to the generous support of Blain’s Farm & Fleet, GOEX, and PRENT Corporation, every JYBSA player receives a free ticket to the game.
