Located just off the Rock County Courthouse parking lot at the top of Lower Courthouse Park, the base of the monument says, "Rock County 1901 - Dedicated to the memory of her soldiers and sailors. War of the Rebellion, 1861-1865." The tall monument is topped by a statue of a Civil War soldier.
