This incredible 100-foot-long mural by artist Ivan Roque was created during Art Infusion 2021, and features a flowing river with animals and flowers. An owl represents wisdom, flowers symbolize transformation and vines represent the energy and time that revolves all around and connects us. The thorns represent the obstacles in life that make us who we are today. No matter how happy the piece is, the thorns are present because there must be truth behind the art. It is located on the River Street side of the Rock River Charter School. Roque is a Cuban-American visual artist from Miami, Florida. He has traveled quite extensively for various exhibitions and murals including shows in New York City, Dubai, and Seoul.
